The AFCC Oregon Chapter is pleased to offer two scholarships for law students to attend the National AFCC Conference. The 2021 National Conference is being offered remotely via Zoom June 1-3 and 7-11. AFCC Mission & Purpose:
The Association of Family and Conciliatory Courts is an interdisciplinary, international association of professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through the resolution of family conflict. AFCC promotes a collaborative approach to serving the needs of children among those who work in and with family law systems, encouraging education, research, and innovation and identifying best practices.
AFCC members include judges, lawyers, mediators, evaluators, mental health professionals, academics, researchers, court administrators, and public policymakers. The Oregon Chapter is tasked with carrying out the mission of AFCC at the local level and is made up of professionals dedicated to improving outcomes for families and children in our community.

AFCC Oregon is dedicated to improving the recruitment, selection, retention, and advancements of underrepresented groups in Oregon. The scholarships will be offered to law students with a particular emphasis on providing opportunities for historically underrepresented individuals. Historically unrepresented groups may include but are not limited to, first-generation law students, low-income students, students who identify as LGBTQ+, students of color, veterans, and individuals with diverse abilities.
